Long story short, I broke my already broken screen and my last backup didn't include all of my pictures. I have a few pics on my desktop and in my picture file that I need to pull off it. Is there anyway I can do this? My machine won't turn on at all. I touched the back of the screen where it says, "Don't touch here and *POOF*, the whole thing doesn't work anymore.

IDE or SATA? There are adaptors for connecting it to a desktop motherboard, then it's a simple copy-paste job.

I went to a laptop repair store where, for $20, they popped out the hard drive - put it in a case and gave it to me - the $20 was about the price of the case, best $20 I could spend under those circumstances.

Yup I have one! Plug and play, you can't beat it. PJ

Forgot, You can also get the program "HD Copy" and transfer the whole HD to the new computer if desired, including all saved emails. PJ

I used Macrium, and snap-shotted my entire computer (OS and all) to a 2TB EHD. No matter what MS does, I've got the whole enchilada to re-load if needed.

Billy,
Don't listen to these guys, they all talking gibberish.
Go get:
1.roll of duct tape
2. magnifying glass
3. a tampon
4. tweezers
Then tweet me up on the skype and I'll walk you through the rest.
