Even the destructive force of nature has it's beauty. This is a cloud formation of a passing storm out our kitchen window. We have some unique cloud formations at times. PJ

Wow! Big Sky!

Wow! Big Sky!

Nope, just little trees. :playful: It's weird being in a place like that when your whole life trees have been 100' and everywhere.

That's not a cloud either, it's the mother ship. Everybody get your Nikes on!

I love how the leading edge looks like a wave. Some of the best pictures I get all year are of clouds during storm season.

Walter, I'm waiting for a bubble cloud formation to photograph. Looks like the sky if filled with cotton balls all bunched together. We had one a couple weeks ago and never took any pics of it. Needles to say, they don't form very often. Not many folks around the country even know what they are or have ever seen one. Quite unique. PJ

Like these Paul? I shot these a few years back it was really a cool thing to see, especially when the sky turned red.

Wow, as many of those cotton ball skies as I have seen, I don't remember ever seeing a red one.

The red one was a little freaky. It started off normal enough like this: 100_0416.jpg then went to this: 100_0423.jpg and then finally everything turned red: 100_0424.jpg. The whole process from normal to red took about 10 minutes. I have no idea why it turned red, it was about 6:30 in the evening in May so it was no where near sunset.

Hey, it's Oklahoma! Nothing weird ever happens here! Were just unique, that's all. :highly_amused: PJ

"A little freaky'?!?!?!

Dude, blood red boiling sky calls for a forecast of falling frogs, split seals and a high chance of horsemen! :jester:

Nasty Sunday for you guys yesterday, or was it a lot farther East?

We got some of it, but most was to the East heading for Arkansas and points East. Very bad storm. PJ

Here in the middle we barely got 1/4 inch of rain. I think there might have been a little very small hail.

Here in the SW we got some dirt blowing around, now my folks up in Quapaw got blown around pretty hard.

Walter, your folks live in Quapaw! Are they ok? Did they get any damage? Our prayers are with them! Hope all is well. PJ

Paul, I'm Quapaw so I do have some family up that way. Luckily they all made it through the storm ok.
