I've been thinking about repacing our '95 Dodge Dakota,& saw this one on craigslist in Idaho. I was wondering if there's anyone who could take a look at it,& give me a second opinion,to see if it's worth buying/-traveling the long distance,to buy it? - Doughttps://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/4372504576.html

I'd put that $3,300 in the one you currently have vs buying another 20 year old truck.

I'd pass seeing he only fixes the truck if it actually breaks down. Driving around with the parts only means you'll have them on hand when it breaks. That doesn't sound like a good way to take care of something.

Seven and a half hr drive for me. I will start asking friends if they have anyone up there though.

Billy, That doesn't help AT ALL.I bought this truck about 2 years ago,to replace the '94 (V6/5 speed). Our current truck has 145,000+ miles on it,& since I like theseDakotas,I'm looking for one that might just last me the rest of my life. I miss driving a manual. - Doug

You plan on dyin' in the next two years cause that's how long it took ya to get sick of that one. Why buy a vehicle with more miles on it?

I'll probably pass on that one,but would still like to find a nice
one.The reason that I'm thinking of replacing the one I have know is
that the paint's been peeling pretty bad,& I've been thinking that if I had
it repainted,it'd be as cheap (or cheaper) to replace it with a nicer one.
Does anyone know when the Club Cab came with opening rear
quarter doors? - and I don't mean the Quad Cab (4 door).

After much soul surfing, etc,I came to the conclusion that I shouldkeep my old truck, unless a low milage, garage kept Grampa's Dakotacomes along at an attractive price, that i can afford. "There's no place like home"............ - Doug

Sounds like a good decision to me Doug. I tend to run 'em 'til they won't go no more.

No worries Doug, we'll see what the next 6 months will bring.

maybe we should start a pool, "How long till Doug wants another Dakota?" :eagerness: :greedy_dollars:

(You remind me so much of myself it isn't funny)
