Looks like a very good base car for a total restoration. Interesting to see how much it sells for. It has the desirable centre change box and a hardtop as well. The rear seats and squab are not original but that doesn't matter. Frame seems Ok apart from one crossmember that has a big dent in it.
 
Door gaps and panel fits are good. Original CA plates add some value. Looks a little rough for 61K (claimed) miles. Is that an ammeter in the dash?

The area looks familiar ... could be around here (San Jose, CA). If it was a BN7 I'd be all over it.
 
The bidding looks fairly lively. At 12K, it's approaching what I would consider its true value. It will be interesting to see how much higher it goes.

I'm glad I don't live close--I'd be tempted...
 
The rear wheels look like they may be Borranis:

If they're genuine Borranis I'd be sorely tempted to have them restored and buy two more for the front as they still make them for the Healey: https://www.ruoteborrani.com/en/wire-wheels-for-automobiles/classic/wheel-range/ They are mega-expensive though.
 
I think they are hubcaps on steelies. The lip is standing very proud of the tire.

I think you're right, Hugh. The seller does say he has the original hubs for the two missing wire wheels, so it makes sense that the adapters were taken off and a steel wheel was substituted with a wheel cover. They do look a lot like some I've seen on fiberglass MG-TD kit cars. Too bad. Genuine Borranis sell for $1,500 ... per EACH.
 
This is how my garage became full. Is it fog, smog, camera, or is something wrong with my eyes? Probably my eyes.

It's around 10:15am California time as I post this. I live within 20 minutes of this car, which is in Newark CA. Just called the seller asking if I could come look at it. He said he has someone looking at it now, offers him $24,000 for it. Current bid on Ebay, is $12,700, no reserve. I asked him about that and he said the buyer has cash. I asked what about the ebay listing that has 5 days left. He said, well the guy has cash. I told him I was not interested coming to look at it now. That's not the right thing to do... to the ebay bidders.

Wel that is not uncommon on E Bay but generally they tell the bidders that they have the car also listed off the E bay site.
 
If this should be relisted, what are some thoughts...especially about the $24,000 offered now? Maybe a typical pressure sale? Yes, it will be interesting to see how high it goes to and then to see if it reappears (which I find often happens on eBay a lot). Then the second go around the final bid becomes much less, usually.
