Phil Everly Dead at 74

Just saw this - Phil,of the Everly Brothers died of pulmonary disease.RIP Phil. - Doug

Re: another one gone

That's really sad. Remember my older sisters listening to them all the time when they were teens!

I just finished reading the new Warren Zevon bio.

The Everly Brothers had a lot to do with his early success. The book talked about how they disliked each other but continued to perform until they finally broke up (Zevon played at their last show together).

Phil was cited for his kindness a number of times in the book.

They made great music!

Re: another one gone

Gets depressing. Too bad we don't know when these guys are born.

News Flash: "Today the man who evolved rap into something worth listening to was born" or "mideast peacemaker born today"

FYI, I have merged two threads about the same topic into this one thread.

I thought that I've posted this before this post.I guess I was wrong. - Doug
