It's funny no matter where Healey owners are in the world, Our garages look the same!

Holy crap man, another home lift! Mine comes with a handle and only goes up 18" when operated by hand :congratulatory:
Got one in the detached garage too, but this one has to sing for its supper!

It's first (1st) official job was to elevate the Healey so I could replace the exhaust hangers that didn't survive the transport ride from Ohio to Florida; notice the rubber tie-down suspending the exhaust from the bumper. If only the garage could've stayed this spartan; only one (1) of three (3) shipping containers had been umloaded at this point.

Same garage a year and a half (>1-1/2) later:

If it's one last thing I do...It is to get a lift! Randy, Just out of curiosity... What are those late model Beemers doing on the rack? I thought those things where near bullet proof! You must be doing some high performance mods right?

just got my lift this year. Can't believe I waited this long.

I do a lot of superchargers and engine work ;)

Bend Pak? Looks identical to mine

I know what you mean Jeepsters. Me too. But I am just glad I have mine enclosed instead of sitting outside. Got to be thankful for that!

Lol...Very Wise! Parking the Healey "under" the Shiny BMW.....It wouldn't be fun to get up in the morning and discover a line of 20w 50w and gear lube running down the center of the Beemer!

Some of my projects. 1991 Ferrari Testarossa. Motec engine management with updated fuel injection. Electric power steering. The engine on the side is for a custom Ferrari 308 that was bored and stroke to 3.5 liters with new liners, crank, forged pistons, h-rods, and efi engine management. The body is in another garage I have that is attached to the house. My back garage is built as a oversized 6 car with 2 lifts (4 post bendpak and 2 post rotary). Separate machine shop behind it. Nice to retired now so I have more time.

My garage just after drywall and put back together. Not "broken in" yet!

4 Healeys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought I was the only wack job with more than 2 .... Were gluttons for punishment I guess lol... Merry Christmas everyone .

Randy Forbes - your garage is my dream garage ! I keep mine in a 8 foot wide by 15 foot long car cave built between piers since our home is elevated being at the beach. I can back it in and have just enough room to get my aging bod out of it !

Randy Hicks- congrats on the new 100M making it into the newest Hemmings Sports and Classic mag ( think I got that name close to right). Picture doesn't do it justice !

Merry Christmas to all,
Mike

Mine started as a swimming pool and pool house . At least that is what it cost me to get the garage built onto it. With 6 air conditioners (it is Houston after all), btw that covers the house and 3 garages, the best thing I did was before anything moved in I had the floor professionally epoxy coated. Professional, because I would have put on one coat where he put on three. Makes cleaning the floors a snap. I need to make some space (sell some motorcycles). For me when you have space your first obligation is to see how long it takes to fill it. :highly_amused: Bought a magnetic floor sweep which is great. All those fine metal shavings are gone.

Drambuie is right—what goes on in a Healey garage seems to be the same the world over. They all have shrouds leaning against the wall, complicated semi-monocoques in various stages of repair, engines dangling from hoists—generally happy places! But what always amazes me is the sheer variety of the places we call our workshops.

Mine is a bit different. I have 1200 square feet total with five stalls in two buildings. The original 3 stalls are attached to my 1925 house. A few years ago I designed a workshop for the Healeys with two deep stalls and, what makes it unusual, a greenhouse. The addition of the greenhouse was not just to grease the skids with my wife (it worked), as I am into gardening as well. No hoist yet—I plan on a MaxJack for flexibility.

So, here is my Healey Heaven:

Wow...nice man cave! Funny, I have all the green outdoor potted plants sharing a stall with my Healey since the winter started. Kinda calms me and reminds me of summer! Lol

Yeah, we've had so much snow already that I too like to go through from the workshop into the greenhouse to drink in some "summer." We heat the greenhouse and have grow lights for the winter--have a new batch of lettuce coming up as we speak.
