I'm not sure if this has been discussed before. I have a spare set of H6s that I recently rebuilt and rather than rebuild the Stombergs on the 4A I thought I would just install the SU's.What linkage mods need to be done to accomplish this? Anyone done this before and can give me a heads up as to issues I may run across doing the swap?

I remember many (about 40) years ago when I had a TR4A, I made that change-for a short while. You may find that the air filters are close to hitting the inner fender because the H6 carbs are wider than the ZS carbs. The intake manifolds are of different widths to compensate for the carbs. SU HS6 carbs would work, but the linkage is different.
To each his own, but I don't think the change is worth the effort. The carbs are pretty much equal, each having plusses&minuses.

Are the two different carbs about equal in performance? (or can they be, with proper tuning?)
