I am restoring the steering wheel on my 69 TR6. I bead blasted and the painted it with Krylon paint. Any contact at all leaves scratches-what a worthless paint. Can anyone suggest a name brand that will stand up to wear in this area? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Single stage urethane, which is a 2 part ,paint and catalyst is probably the best, much harder than acrylic out of a can.Maybe you can find a body shop that would shoot it when they are doing some back.Tom

I used Hammerite Keven.
Won't have that problem
