hello all fellow british car lovers im new to the british life and could use alot of help with info from experienced enthusiasts as such as yourselves.
my project is a running restoration for now with a bit of resto mod to a 57 hillman minx two tone sedan.
We all know theres not alot of info on these cars especially over here and parts are even harder to find, hopefully someone knows what i could interchange parts with heard some sunbeams had the same parts but i have no idea where to look for parts for those or what might work.
feel free to check out my intro thread here https://www.britishcarforum.com/bcf/showthread.php?93005-new-hillman-member-from-mt
my last old school project was a 74 datsun 620 was a fun time and hope to give my hillmans some flavor like this one

when i first starting having some fun with it
changed the wheels

rebuilt the engine new torsion bars sparco seat eventually painted it but sold it a few days after
and the new project with parts car

anyone know where i might be able to find a clutch master for a hillman minx or what i might be able to swap instead

I had a Datsun 620 years ago. I commuted about 160 miles a day in it. My back still hurts just thinking about that. But it was a great little truck and I wouldn't mine having it back. Anyway, for Hillman parts, I'd contact Kip Motors in Texas. ~Link to Kip Motors~

Wasn't the Chevy Luv designed after that truck or just a name change? The Luv wasn't the greatest of vehicles as remember. PJ

welcome - and while you might be the only Minx owner, please keep us posted - we love to watch and learn! Kip Motor as mentioned. Also, I know a guy (we all know a guy) here in Ontario who has restored a few Hillmans (mostly 60's) but could be a source of information also. cheers!

Believe that was an Isuzu.

The way the Datsun got it's name was this. When they were first developing the car in Japan the manager told one of his engineers that he had to finish the car by midnight and the engineer replied "DAT SOON".
