Two weeks later than expected, but I'm back on track. Will be headed off toward California on Monday.

I had to delete several destinations from my itinerary, sorry to say: Toronto, southern California, and the Rio Grande Valley in Texas.

The last-minute problem with the ignition is cleared up. Hesitation/bucking under load completely eliminated. The culprit was a loose plug wire. Details here:

So unless there's another big surprise, Monday morning will be Westward Ho!

For those interested, here's the planned itinerary. Won't know specific arrival dates due to weather, length of trip, sights to see in the area, and how well the car (and I!) hold up. But using tomorrow 9/23 as the starting date, you can guesstimate where I'll be, give or take.
