Howdy Folks,

I`m probably going to buy a set of "Wide Side Wall" tires.

I would love to see some pics of a "Signal Red TR3" with Disc Wheels either painted body color or Silver with a set of "2-1/4 Wide Side Wall" tires mounted.

Does this mean you folks don't like WSW tires on a TR3?

personally, I've only seen them on Wire Wheeled TRs & I don't like that look.

I just never saw them on a Disc Wheel car before.

I've been thru Google & You Tube and coming up empty handed.

So, Post away if you've got them.

back in the day, many MG TDs and XK 120s sported whitewalls. There may be some pictures out there in Internet land. One of my fraternity brothers at U Penn had a TD with whitewalls. Looked "cute".

Yeah, that's me with long hair, silk shirt & probably wearing beads. My defense is that this was more than 40 years ago and you just had to be there to understand.

Disk or wires -- can't say that I care for the look.
 
Russ, I looked through the photos on the sight I knew. Has about 50 pages with 20 photos on each page but few cars, of any color, with white walls. I'm not fond of the look, but that's why we all have our own cars:encouragement:

Well, So far I have to agree with you folks. I wonder what this BRG one would look like if the rims were body color?

please keep them coming or a link to one that is "Signal Red".

I googled "red tr3 with white walls", and this pic popped right up...although with wire wheels. There are a bunch of other red tr3s with white walls Some with disc wheels) if you go through the pictures.

I finally found one in the "Int`l. Triumph Register". Lets see if I could post it here?

I`m still not to crazy about the look but I`m going to print the pic & color in the existing Silver wheels "Red" and see what that looks like.

Man, That was easy!!

Great Job Basil in making it so simple to up-load pics vs. the previous method!!!

I still have`nt seen a "Signal Red" Disc TR3 with WSW. The one`s I have seen; I`m swaying 70% I won`t put them on.

But, Still not 100% sure. So; If someone has or comes across a "Signal Red, Disc Wheel (Preferably painted Red) TR3; Please post a pic.

There's another discussion going on about tires.. my opinion is that it is a "classic" look, not necessarily great but the thiner white wall has some appeal to me. My profile picture is my car with my dad driving in 1959 with the original white wall tires. I have the tire today it was the spare tire in the boot been with the car all these years, go figure? Must have never had a flat tire.... but here you go, signal red car, silver rims, disc wheels with white walls! What da ya think?

Pretty cool pic. I'm going to print it & color in the rims "Red" to see what that'll look like. Mine also has "Silver" rims.
