Long story short, trimmed a bunch of stuff close to the house 'cause skeeters were hidin' in the bushes. Has some big ol' palm thingies that had some crazy looking roaches in 'em. Never seen anything like 'em before. I figure once I cut everything they'd be gone. Well, I was right, they moved into my house. They ate the spine outta an old book like you used a chain saw. I tried sticky traps but that didn't work. Had to use boric acid and man does that stuff work good, no more creepy critters.

Without pictures it didn't happen...:jester:

BTW, how do you do the boric acid trick? Just sprinkle it around?

Get Advion gel bait if you want to get rid of them for good. You put it down in very tiny drops near where they live. It is slow acting so they take it back to the nest to take care of the rest of their friends. (cockroaches eat their dying friends and pass the poison on, that is why the "slow acting" bit is important they have to go back to the nest to kill the colony)

My current apartment was REALLY infested when we bought it. Turning on the light at night was like something out of a horror film watching swarms of them running everywhere. After we took care of a few leaky pipes (very important they need moisture far more than food) a few drops around the house took care of them in a few days and we haven't seen a single one for a few years now.
