Got Netflix today and watched up to episode 7. We'll probably watch the rest tomorrow. I can't believe that's all there is. What on earth were they thinking?

My daughter is a huge fan - and of course the running Firefly lament on the first few episodes of Big Bang Theory.

Great show, good cast, interesting world with interesting stories. The only Joss Whedon show I have ever thought worth watching, and ironically the only Joss Whedon show that didn't last 10 seasons.

Another Sci-Fi show that endeded too early. The show had a lot of potential which the studios obviously missed, perhaps to poor marketing and no future planning. As stated it was entertaining on a lot of different planes. Well thought out, decent acting, and a good imagination of a possible future.

In many was a more plausible future, though interestingly, I always thought of it, not so much as sci-fi but as a western with a space ship. my Daughter can't get enough of Joss Whedon's stuff.

I do find Dr. Horrible's sing a long blog fun...

There's some underlying themes that the brass may not have been too fond of. Remember how political the first Star Trek was? I saw a similar trend in this series. That being said it would probably fly today somewhere else. Finished the series last night. Serenity possibly tonight or tomorrow.

I did enjoy it but I did get a bit turned off by it being politicized. While watching entertainment I expect to be entertained. I once went to a Bonnie Rait concert and had a good time until she got up on a soap box.

Can't agree with you more on that. Sometimes tho you have to look past it. Face it, won't there be political turmoil in the future? Serenity was a good follow up to the series, think you'll enjoy it.

Sometimes you can't and sometimes you shouldn't.

Depending of course on which soapbox they climb, the one I like or the one I don't.:grin:

Well, I guess that's that. Not too fond of how it all played out. Clergy should be exempt.
