J-P Kept Me Up Last Night

You know JP, instead of that motel you stayed at in Myrtle you could have had your own suite here.

I know, i know, story of my life, a day late and a dollar short. On the plus side, am in a timeshare in Williamsburg (rented) and loving it!

So, update time. First of all, I finally have solid enough wifi to allow my phone to upload my pics, so, without further ado, proof of my journey.

Nelson & car - it is so pretty, never saw it with the hardtop before (original Healey top)

and, Mickey & church - forgot to take pic with car

Had a lovely time in Williamsburg, rented a timeshare - really comfortable and a bargain price!

Today we checked out of the Williamsburg property and tomorrow is Alexandria for a week - again, timeshare and great price, but, went to the army transportation museum. Got the car well inspected to get on the base, but it was worth it!

BTW, i know elsewhere people are talking about the next Midget meet. If I had my car I would just rip around Williamsburg & area every day - the roads are gorgeous, tree lined and curvy, the locations close by and lots and lots to do! Great place for a reunion!

This was one of my favourite things to see, right out of the Thunderbirds! There were other experiments as well, but it did make me wonder whether a hovercraft MGB or Midget, or even TR6 or 4 would be doable - the body shape is certainly right.

Then, as we drove into Yorktown, we noticed the bridge opening and pulled over to see this.

lots of happy families tonight!

Finally checked into the hotel in Smithfield, then back to the crab house on the edge of the James River at the base of the bridge. I ate this:

Mrs JP had this:

Which made her do this:

and we were right next to the water and the sky looked like this:

and all in all a great day was had by all!

Nice photo's JP... thanks

Nice! I lived in Hampton (Buckroe Beach) VA for a few years, would go to Williamsburg often. Seeing the food pix I could just about smell it. Made me smile, too.

VA Beach was always my fav beach location on the Eastern Seaboard

The best beach is around Lake Pontchartrain. If you forget to bring a chair, you can just sit in an old tire. :thirsty: :jester:

JP - sounds like you're having one heck of a great trip. Great sights, great sites, and great eats. Shrimp, crab, etc. - my kind of dinner. I need to take a trip ...
