Can anyone tell me how thick the wooden shims are under the seat runners on a BJ7? I have my own woodshop so will make my own. Griz

If the metal shims are there, you can use them for patterns. There is a discussion of these in the archives - whether they're on the floor with the carpet cut out around them or on top of the carpet with the carpet sandwiched between them and the floor.

I used 1-1/2" x 1/4" poplar and made them long enough to accommodate the seat slides in the extreme fore and aft positions.
 
Unfortunately the metal shims are gone too. I plan to make those out of aluminum, and make the wooden shims out of cedar or teak (should never have rust or rot problems with those materials). Griz
 
Just measured my shims in situ: 16-1/2" long, 1-1/2" wide, 1/4" thick. The rear of the lower seat track is 1-1/2" forward of the rear edge of the shim. Position the holes accordingly. The holes are the same size as those in the floor.
