TR2/3/3A TR3 washer bottle

This is what my car came with for a washer bottle. The car was originally dispatched to France. The bottle is made by Transpar in France. Do you think it would be considered as period correct for judging, or would I loose points? It's hard to find any information on the bottle. It is marked brake fluid on the top in the logo but they did make washer bottles also. If anyone has any information on these please let me know.

Keith: Glad to see that you are surviving the HEAT!!! My sister-in-law lives in Goodyear. I can't begin to imagine 118 degrees.

I have never seen that washer reservoir. But, remember, these were dealer supplied. So, when in France, use a French washer!

Be aware that there is a very active TR club in France. Perhaps you can post a message on the website and learn more about this item. Hopefully, you know someone who know a little French.

Considering your car's history, any judge who is worth his salt would NOT penalize you for this washer. Be sure to clean it up nicely and DO NOT over restore it.

Frank it's a dry heat no big deal. I've been lasting out in the garage until around 2:00PM. I have to quit when it gets around 110 in the garage. Monsoon season will arrive any day and the humidity will go up then it's unbearable after noon. I did send an email off to the club you posted, we'll see if I get a reply. Nice hat George, I hope somebody speaks English in the club.
 
Oh my... it never occurred to me but now I can see how a part prominently labeled 'Trafalgar' might not go down well with French customers. An 22-0 loss is tough to forget even after a couple of centuries.
 
Frank thanks for posting that, I'll keep an eye on them. John I wish I knew the complete story on the car. I purchased the car from a fellow club member who purchased it used in 1957. I have the title from that sale but the previous owner does not remember the details. I did get a Heritage Certificate and it confirmed it's original dispatch. A few items on the car were slightly different from what you would see on a USA delivered car. The washer bottle, temp gauge was in Celsius, and it had Tex spring mounted mirrors instead of the Lucas brand. I wish I new the history from the very start, but I'm close.
