You guys really have some great opinions and great advice so I was hoping I could tap into a little bit of that.

Last night I was sitting on my front porch watching all the lightning track across the sky when my left side went numb. I went inside to lie down and after 15 minutes I got very light headed and it felt like there was a weight on my chest making it harder to breathe. Got dragged kicking and screaming to the ER where they ran tests... And found nothing...

Today I took half a day off because I didn't have the energy to get moving.

Weird right?

Not weird - scary!

I'm no doctor, but I'm not sure I'd be content with the ER's findings, given your symptoms. You should get checked out thoroughly.

Go to your regular doctor. And soon.

If health care costs are an issue, ~Check Here~

Good luck!

Mild stroke or heart attack would seem to be leading candidates, but I'm no medical expert. One thing I know is you'll want to get some kind of answer to try to ensure it doesn't return and either cripple or kill you. Time for a specialist.

That aint the least bit normal. Dude, if you aint dead already you may be soon. Get to someone who knows something. This isn't anything to play with.

I suppose being 28 doesn't shield me from anything? I am handling work ok now.

How close was the lightening? Is it possible you were hit? Either way don't let this go without further explanation.

Dad made the comment that it might be from the Spitfire falling on me Saturday while I was under it but it really didn't hit my head very hard.

+ 1 for Basil
Left side numb is right side brain.
Do see a doctor and check bloodpressure

Hans

Get a thorough medical exam!!! Do it NOW!

A car fell on you? You could very well have a slowly-developing concussion. Brain swelling, internal hemorrhage, etc. Did you tell the ER staff about that?

Get to a doctor.

People of all ages die every day. Our son died (of a heart attack) at age 28, eight years ago. Blocked widow maker's artery. He had visited his Doc the day before - complaining of shortness of breath while playing basketball. His tests were scheduled...he didn't get the chance to get there.

Ok... Not a doc so I'm not going to diagnose but here's another relatable tale: Almost lost a friend from a sharp knock to the head during a fall on some ice. Seams as though that's a common cause of blood-clot formation. The clot starts to travel and can lead to stroke or heart failure. My father also survived a clot passing through his heart. Same complaints as you. Shortness of breath etc. Very close calls in both cases. There's a lot of bad doctors out there. I think you just saw one of them.

Just out of curiosity, did you tell the ER staff about the car falling on you and your head injury?

Tom

Seriously bro, take tomorrow off and get to the bottom of this immeadiately. Please do not delay any longer. This is by no means normal for a 28 year old by ANY stretch no matter what they do. This is serious ****!

Yeah, I know, I'm, "I'm gonna die anyway" guy but vapor locking is preventable.

The fact that I'm urging you to seek immeadiate attention should tell you something...
