BJ8 Stainless Steel Exhaust - throaty sound ?

What is the best BJ8 Stainless Steel Exhaust with the best throaty sound ?

None of them and unless you verify that the mufflers conform to the original muffler shapes they will scrape the ground when you go over raised spots. Additionally they are expensive--Keoke

On the subject of exhaust systems, anyone have an opinion of the exhaust system made by a company called "ANSA" (shown as decals on my tail chrome pipes). By comparison, my original Healey had an existing factory original s/s exhaust. Exhaust note was nice, but this ANSA has a deeper, more pronounced type note. I must admit, I sure do like the way this ANSA sounds. Unfortunately, I understand they do not make this system anymore. True?

True, unfortunately (at least for the BJ8). Ansa mufflers are/were very high quality--I believe they are used on Ferraris. I had them on my BJ8 and when the packing in the mufflers--they're 'glasspacks'--finally went I welded in glasspacks from Heartthrob. The original Ansa pipes are still functioning well. I always thought the Ansas sounded higher pitched than stock.

At one time Michael Lempert--of steering wheel and 3.54 rearend fame--was contemplating having repros built, but I don't think anything came of it.
