Chrome in a can...

Grill had peeling chrome and some rust. Sanded down and painted with chrome paint. Fortunately the “mustache” was unblemished so the chrome paint is only on the grid area. I've never tried chrome paint before, this is Duplicolor "Universal Chrome". Not as shiny as real chrome, but about $300 cheaper – passes the 5 foot test.

Not bad. Check out caswell plating for their electroless nickel kit if you ever want to upgrade.

My eyes are playing tricks on me, I see spots in the cross sections and when I look thery're gone but apprea somewhere else. They blink like Christmas lights.

Does that system have a clear coat that goes over it? If it does not, a clear coat might give it some more depth and shine. Just do a test spot first.

Time to get to your local friendly optometrist!! My wife has a lot of vision trouble.

I did a quick search, I found nothing good about spraying clear coat over dupli color chrome. Lots of negative experiences.

Billy,
I see the spots too...must be a Southern thing!

The stuff on the Leno show looked interesting but apparently the company no longer exists. It looked like a great product but I guess it is unobtanium now.

Does not stand up well against the elements.
(rocks and pebbles on the road are elements right?)
