I've installed a few radios in my time, only one in a Healey. There should be 3 +power leads for the radio. One for power (main), one for memory backup, one for illumination (works with the light switch in the car. Usually, I've seen power as a red wire, yellow and orange for the other two functions. What kind of radio do you have and where are you at specifically with it?

there is a yellow wire that has to be attached to constant power where should i attach it to which side of the fuse box

If your car has original wiring, you have two fuses. The top fuse is energized from the ignition switch when the switch is on. The bottom fuse is hot all the time. On the top fuse, the side with the white wire is power coming into the fuse and the side with the green wires is the circuits being protected by that fuse. On the bottom fuse, side with the brown wire is the power coming into that fuse and the side with the purple or brown/green wire (depending on the year of the car) is the circuit that is protected by that fuse. The original plan from the factory for an optional radio was to supply the radio from the supply side of the bottom fuse, and install an inline fuse holder to protect the radio.

It looks like you have a BJ8? Behind the center console is a brown wire that was for the original radio. You could fuse the yellow wire and attach it there.

Ah, found an old photo of mine in another thread.
