Blech - another snowy nor'easter

Another deluge of frozen H2O - 12 inches so far. Should end early this afternoon - then followed by 50 mph winds. The folks hit by Superstorm Sandy and the "Blizzard of 2013" are being flooded by the high tides again.

This is the heavy wet stuff - snow blower can't handle it (just slowly burps out).

Gotta shovel it fast; if it softens during the 35F this afternoon, it turns into solid ice during the night.

And I thought the Oklahoma winds were bad, but were going into the 70s this week. We only accumulated 1 inch of snow in the Eastern part of the state all Winter! West and South of Tulsa, well that's another story. I really love snow! As long as it's in someone else's yard. :glee: PJ

Paul - the *absolute* best part of being retired: sitting by the woodstove in the morning, watching other people slip/slide their way over the hills, trying to get to the office.

Y'all are getting more snow this winter than we are here in the mountains. My back yard is bare of snow. As much as I hate winter, we need the snow badly as most of our water comes from the snow melt.

Hot coffee, full breakfast and just looking out the window is the way to go today. My best friend's daughter and her partner left early this morning from Massachusetts on route to visit her in Florida. They are whistling and singing along just driving the interstate. I got the feeling they are happy to be going south.

They'd better bring a car cover.
Gonna have to roll the Wedge out of the garage and wash the 1/4" of pollen off

Six inches of snow here. I was out with the snow blower earlier. It's warming up, which is good.

We'll ber driving our little Curved Dash Olds replica in the Morristown St. Patrick's Day parade.
Hope most of the snow is gone by then (the parade is "rain or shine").

Stuff's blooming here.

Bad food, bad weather; y'all yankess are just plain nuts!

hey - what's with this "bad food" thing?

Boiled beef, boiled turnip, boiled carrot, boiled cabbage, boiled pudding! Now that's good eatin' !

To be enjoyed while huddled around a kerosene lantern after the snow and gales pull down the power lines.

Ah the not so fond memories of living in New England. If you feel better today we woke up to snow which is already melting. Won't be taking Agatha out like I did Thursday but Monday brings brings great Healey weather again. Had a lovely dinner with friends last night and as he and I were Massachusetts classmates, we were treated to corned beef and cabbage. His wife is a native New Mexican and she sure did a great job. I should mention we lost power for about 3 hours yesterday due to a violent thunder storm. Our weather is similar to New England in that it is very changeable. Stay warm and boil, boil, boil...

pffffft! Spent yesterday shootin' golfers. Chasin' 'em around 18 holes in an anemic golf-cart with a couple Nikons, Fuji print film as ammunition. I think I got 'em all. It was in the 75°F range.
