Who remembers what was broadcast on this date, back in 1983?

Just 30 years ago ... no more "incoming".

I was a 2nd LT stationed at a school in Biloxi Mississippi. Our class had a M.A.S.H party at my house that night.

I sure remember M.A.S.H. I don't think I missed an episode. Hated to see it end.

I'll admit I've seen all the episodes, and did catch the final one even though I wasn't very old. That show seemed to have just the right blend of humor and serious content.

To me, the most memorable scene in the entire series: when Hawkeye told the story of the Korean woman hiding in a bus, smothering the chicken she was holding so it wouldn't make noise when the enemy passed by.

But it wasn't a chicken. It was her baby.

Man that show told a *lot* of stories at many depths.

"Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice!"
Best advice ever! :applause:

Now I haven't heard that one in a long time. Almost ashamedly I get it and agree.

Agreed. they always understood that funny needs a little sad to work - and vice versa. That said, last episode was not my favourites.

I remember the episode when the Colonel sent people to Rosie's Bar to get them to return to work. Everyone stayed until the Col. Potter had to get them. Always liked the actor that played Potter. After that episode aired we teachers decided we were going to try the same thing. The principal came in to the teacher lounge to encourage us to complete the day- we didn't move. He looked a little panicked as the bell for the next class rang.

T'was one of the few TV shows my Old Man would watch with regularity.
