First drive - Toyota 4-piston Disc Brake conversion

Yesterday I took my first test drive and bedded the ceramic pads on my Toyota front disc conversion to my BN6.

Have pictures of the entire process, with products used, in my web gallery:

Am using a .75" master cylinder without booster. Pedal pressure is not perceptibly different than the drums were.

Trying to locate these calipers in the UK, Which model of Toyota are they from?

Do you know if this conversion will suit a 100 4?

'85 & earlier 4runner & various pickups with solid discs.

There is also a 4-piston Volvo Girling from the same time period discussed online as a conversion for early Z-cars and Datsun roadsters.

Denis Welch soon will be making a 3.5" adapter plate. They would know if it will work on a 100-4.

The front drums work pretty well. With the ceramic pads one is supposed to take it easy and avoid hard braking for the first 300 miles. I would assume they will ultimately stop better than the drums. The pedal pressure with the ceramic pads is the same or better than the drums.

Your car has the historic optional 4-wheel disc brakes, does it not? I wouldn't change those if I had them.

My glorious 4runner have 2 front disk 4 pistons brakes and 2 Drum rear
it have more than 20 years- 16 at my own service- and more than 400000Km
very enthusiast from this car I can go around the city or in Sahara without difference
