Located here in Louisville, Ky is the 502 Auto Club, a storage and restoration service that is currently building a replica of an early Lemans race car. The body is all aluminum. These guys are very talented. They also have 2 other projects, an all aluminum Healy and a Jaguar C type.

Wow. Very pretty. Did they do this fab work themselves in house?
 
Looks like that is a North Devon Metalcraft body? That will be a neat car. Expensive, but very, very, nice!
 
Might want to add a set of the double-throat SU "Sabrina" carbs.

What happens when those rubber fuel hoses start leaking on the volt reg and starter solenoid?

Depends...before or after the Kaboom!? LOL. That setup is likely just like it was in the fifties...shows how much more safety minded we are today!
