I'm sure like many of you, I like many different genres of music, but if you were working out in the garage and could only listen to one type all day, what would it be?
 
I don't even want to answer that as it is to scary a notion
 
Well, the closest on the list would be hard rock. I'm more into alternative rock or trip hop.
 
Given the choices, Oldies.
 
Jazz... is there any other type of music?
 
since 90's rock is not considered "classic rock" -___- ... i guess that's the best fit...

Ouch! I worked as a roadie for a friends band in D.C. back in the mid 80's. On an unrelated train trip to Boston, I was sitting next to a man who told me Pavoratti was the only serious musician. I said "But he doesn't play anything".

Hard to beat these: :) [skip to about 2:15 for the exciting stuff... though you'll miss the great build-up, and few could compose music that builds like Wagner]

Either classical or jazz, both of which were frequently played in the shop while I was on the team. Led Zepplin just doesn't seem fitting while preparing a Ferrari. I stared on another piece the other day while listening to nothing but contemporary Christmas music (and the piece shows it).
 
Am I the only folkie in the crowd... I'm a big fan of folk music and find it to be a very dynamic and wide ranging genre and often lots of fun depending on the musician...

A good friend of mine Cara Luft, I knew her before she even played music professionally many moons ago... That's her on the guitar and she is an excellent musician! My photo of course, what else is new...

I'm amazed by Lenny Kravitz because he looks and sounds EXACTLY like he did 20 years ago. The guy doesn't age! Charmed life.
 
I like 50s and 60s pop music, but that also includes what I call, real country music, not this stuff they play today! :highly_amused: PJ

He does look a bit older in person. I marched next to him in the jazz funeral procession for the Aints paper bag (LOTS of fun!). It took me a while to recognize him. Spike Lee filmed it for his Katrina recovery movie. I never saw it but I may be in it. I would think I needed to sign a release but oh well.
