I was playing around on the puter tonight and found some old pictures from the old shop. We built some crazy stuff for people. A gold star for the first person who can guess what this is.

the list of semi-contemporary rear drive Japanese cars is pretty short. At first I thought Honda, but when you shot that guess down, I studied the shape of the engine bay more closely and decided it was too long for any of the front or AWD Japanese cars. That narrowed the list right down. From there, images.google.com became my friend. After looking at a few of the 240sx engine bay pics, the slam panel became the key identifying component. All that carbon fiber meant i couldn't rely on the body panels or grill to figure it out, and the slam panel was the only part of the engine bay that was visible in nearly all engine bay pics for all the cars i looked at.

that was a fun exercise in using the internet to find information :D
 
What I don't get, is what's the big deal about having a hemi V-8 in an LBC??? Daimler did it in 1959, and in spite of that, roll-up windows, 4-wheel disks and glassfibre body, couldn't get anyone to buy them. Oh, also won some SCCA National class Championships.
