Me either, Nial!

Great pics Nial... thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the link, Nial, and the documentary heads up too, Steve. Added it to my Netflix queue for later viewing.

Great photos Nial, I especially liked the two of British Corsairs. My grandfather was an F-4U, and F-6F crew chief.

You have my thanks Nial for posting the link. The photo of the F-4Us being worked on brings back some nice memories. I can visualize myself there. We had them in Norman Oklahoma. Of course that was a couple days ago! :congratulatory: PJ

Paul, my grandfather was stationed in Norman after the war. He served there until he was deployed to Adak Island during Korea.

Loved that sewn terrain model!

down side to that article is it shows that proof reading in modern times is almost non-existent:

WAUKEGAN (CBS) — After spending almost 70 years submerged in Lake Michigan, salvage experts pulled an old World War II fighter plane out of the water on Friday.

The FM-2 ā€œWildcatā€ went into the lake off the end of an aircraft carrier in Waukegan Harbor during World War II, while on a training mission on Dec. 28, 1994. The pilot survived the crash, which was blamed on engine failure.

:rolleye:

**bolded the error to make it more obvious...
