Hi everyone. My name is James and I am the new owner of a 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series 2 2+2. This is my second British car with my first being a 1981 Triumph TR8 way back in 1983. That ownership experience did not go well and I took a four decade break but am now ready to jump back into the British car world. I’ve always admired the E-Type and actually owning one was a bucket list item for me. Thanks for letting me join BCF and I look forward to chatting with the members here and learning as much as I can from you.

Jim - welcome to BCF. The E has got to be one of the beautiful and well designed auto ever. What an icon of the 1960s for sure. Post a photo of your new acquisition.
Before you head out on your 1500 mi "break in" drive, I'd suggest taking a few days and learn the quirks, and possible repair/maintenance needs, of your new classic. Shops don't always check the same details you would, especially in a new to you car. Your other post doesn't mention brakes, so let's hope they're in good condition! One thing I'd recommend: take a battery "booster" just in case. Something like:
