Hi Guys

it's been a long time coming but a new video is locked and loaded.
my events this year are compressed into August and September and life has got in the way too.
hope you enjoy the video. I’m not sure about the commentary?

It was here that my alternator packed up. But the car kept going.
it was really hot so tried to manage the queuing and waiting so the fan didn’t come on too often

That is a very enjoyable video, thanks for sharing. Hoe much horsepower are you making, and what does your engine build look like?

Thanks for sharing, both of those videos were a good watch.

A 155 bhp, 6,000 rpm TR3 is a darned impressive build. Nicely done.

The biggest secret is a light flywheel
Makes the engine far more reactive and responsive
And yes it still ticks over at 800rpm on twin Weber 45’s

Question about the light flywheel: Does it seem to require more clutch slip when starting out to compensate for the lower stored momentum? My Mazda has a lightweight flywheel and I've been wondering if thats why it seems to be more prone to stalling if you don't slip the clutch more.

Great driving Hamish...and your voice-over commentary really "makes" your video (for me anyway).

Hi
No it’s a very straightforward clutch operation Even on the road. The competition starts are a bit brutal.
I use a tr6 style diaphragm clutch

Thanks for that Hamish. Much enjoyed. Good memories of Loton when I first started in the Aston. Is Sir Michael Leighton still the land owner ?
