Okay… I was away from this forum after selling my last TR2 around ‘08.
Now I’m back ( I think) after buying and selling a Spitfire this past April and, today, trying to buy a neat little TR4 project.
Anywho…
Back in ‘58 my older brother got back from serving in the 101st Airborne and he brought with him a love of British cars.
After buying a ‘55 Chevy BelAir he soon tired of the American iron and bought a ‘55 XK MC.
Long story but he got me interested in Brit cars for the next 60+ years.
During the 60’s I was wrenching on Mopars at a local Dodge dealer while he was next door working at a Buick store owned by a noted car collector. Soon he was working on all makes of vintage iron at that store including doing RollsRoyce work for the RR dealer in town.
Today, at age 89, he is still operating a repair shop doing mostly Jaguar and other British car work.
I guess he set me up for life loving these cars like he does.
