So the good news is that Ms. Triss started up rather well after her winter repose. The two flat tires are reinflated and I even got around the block. Unfortunately she seems to have shrunk over the winter. She is both harder to get into and out of. Does anyone have any advice or product by which I might be able to stretch her back to better proportions?

Humorously I’ll recommend this product as a stretched Spridget:

So to define the problem, Is it getting in/out (so stiff joints, back pain, range of motion) or too tight once in (pants have mysteriously shrunk). Very different solutions needed.

I’ll admit, part of why I sold my Bugeye project was the realization that by the time I finished it, I wouldn’t be able to fit anymore.
 
A few years ago Bugeyeguys stretched a Bugeye Sprite for a tall owner. They added a couple of inches to the floor plans, driveshaft tunnel, driveshaft, exhaust system and both doors.

I’m not sure whether or not they modified the side curtains and top.

The side view of the car was actually not very offensive.

Probably a little of both - certainly immediately aware of how sedintary winter was and now that I am starting to do spring summer things (car/ gardening/ construction etc) I realize I am very stiff. (starting Tai Chi/ Yoga) to address it.

In other news, have you not sold the B yet? I would have thought it would be gone in a heartbeat
 
Not sold the B yet, needed a few things sorted before I got serious about selling it, and I haven't been able to get back to it this spring for a variety of reasons. Still hoping to find it a new home this year.

I naturally assumed it would fly out the door just because of its uniqueness.

Ah well still time to change your mind :LOL:

Doing some renos around the house and removed a wall yesterday - so apparantly it is not just the car that makes me stiff and sore. :rolleyes2:

I've thought a lot about it, and it's time. Got out to my shop yesterday and sat in all my cars, and sitting in the B I was reminded that I've had my fun there and it's time. The TR3, Morris, and FJ40 are already a lot to care for, that's really my limit before it stops being fun.

I'm not that old yet, just a bit over the 1/2 century line but I'm already realizing that getting old is not for the faint of heart. I'm at that point in life where I can still do all the things, but the cost in aches and pains is much higher!
 
I had forgotten about the FJ and TBH completely missed the TR3 - proceed!! :D

It is interesting my son turns 40 this year and has planted trees in the summer for the last 19. (He has an 18 year old on his crew this year - therefore someone who has lived less years than he has been doing this). He really doesn't plant anymore instead he runs the operation with his boss. BUT it is interesting (hilarious!) listening to him complain about his body giving out. sheesh.

My music partner is in his early 70s, and he always laughs anytime I comment on getting old. His usual comment is "oh Drew, you have no idea" :D
