1980 Triumph TR7 30th Anniversary Edition, somewhat modified: Ford Zetec 2 liter, MX5 five speed, home brew big brakes (11.25" diameter) and coilover front springs. Quick and very reliable; 3000+ average annual mileage.

Welcome to BCF!

How'd you first get interested in British Cars? I got bitten by the bug back in the 1960s, driving a ten year old Jaguar. Wish I still had it!

My first car was a 66 Spitfire bought new from Meriden Motors in Meriden, CT. Then, after graduating and having a full time job I traded it on one of the last new (1967) TR4As sold right after the TR250 was introduced. Fast forward to 2020 and I bought a 75 TR7 that was DOA as a project. Really, just bought it because it was cheap. I never thought much of Wedges back when they were new and had never driven one. After getting it on the road I found it to be really nice; way nicer than my TR4A. I like the look of the convertible and if I bump my 82 year old head getting in the soft top (or no top) doesn't hurt. I found the convertible in western Minnesota in late 2022 with less than 50K miles and absolutely no hint of rust anywhere. I've been averaging a bit more than 3000 miles between April and November each year.

Richard (?) - that is quite a story. I can see the bug bit deep!

I got my Jaguar as a high school graduation present. And ... because my parents thought I'd be safer in that, than a VW Beetle!

You're 82? I'm gettin' close to that m'self. And my head has exceeded its quota of head bumps along the way.
