Lady brought this to Hawaii from Japan. I believe the grill is an after market that looks like Daimler grill, but not original equipment.

Those wheels are tiny. Surprised that it meets US DOT requirements.
 
Kei cars - max 660cc engines. They are more popular here due to the 15 year classic import rule (as opposed to 25 years)

Mostly we see pickups but the most common 'conversion' van is the Subaru Sambar.
