She was a looker in her day!
Still was I'm guessing, but who is she?
That was back when woman and cars had style.

For some reason, I have never seen a movie with BB.

All of our goddesses are grandmothers now, or sadly just gone.
My 20 something is now my 70 something, but I can still see the goddess in her eyes.

You couldn't phrase it much nicer than that. :iagree:

I recall at church quite a number of years ago 4 couples who were very long time friends sitting at the same table and just talking and laughing. I realized then that they didn't see each other as in their 80's - they saw each other in their 20's and their spouses were every bit as beautiful in their eyes as the first day they laid eyes on each other.

After 41 years - same here.

Not sure if you have ever seen the movie Quartet (Maggie Smith) the movie is very good but the credits are all the actors in the movie - in their heyday. It is lovely to see but also a little poignent. I am not sure if I could happily live in a world where every day I had a visual reminder of how beautiful/ hip/ cool I used to be.

I have an old friend and co-worker, a guy who went through Air Force basic training with me 53 years ago. After basic, we both attended the same NORAD computer Tech School in Mississippi and then, we were actually room mates at our first duty station in Montana.

After a few years, I got accepted into a program to finish my EE degree and get my AF commission and Allan and I lost touch for many many years. Then, out of the blue, about 2 years ago, I got an email from him stating that he and his wife were doing a road trip from California and would be coming through New Mexico. Long story short, we connected again after many decades. It was really like I was just talking to the old Allan that I knew all those years ago. It didn't feel like two 70 year old geezers talking. Even though he had a lot less hair and mine was now snow white, we just were able to pick up and carry on about the old times as if we'd hardly been apart. Sadly, a year after this picture his wife (in the pink top) passed away from stomach cancer that was undiagnosed at the time of the picture. She was a truly sweet lady and her and my wife got along great and had a lot in common.

Unlike you,I've never been cool,
although I've been really cold at times.
