Hi guys, sorry for the stupid question but, how do you refit the front wings on a BN7?
The wings of been off the car for a long time and I thought it would be a simple process to offer them up and bolt them on.
( I took the doors off as I read this made things simpler).
The problem is the three vertical plates on the inside of the wing fouling the A panel. They are restricting me sliding the wing forward to allow me to align the front edge of the wing with the front edge of the shroud ( headlight aperture).
I can’t see what I’m doing different?

Pictures of these plates? By A panel are you meaning the hinge panel. Are you referring to the small angle pieces that attach the rear edge of the wing to the hinge panel? Are these wings original to your car, or replacements from another car?

Hi, thanks for the reply.
It’s 00:11 here now, I’ll post some pictures in the morning.
The wings are original to the car. Sorry if my attempt to describe the parts used the wrong names. Looking on line or numerous restoration manuals has failed to show a picture of how the plates inside the wing attach to the vertical “ hinge panel”. All the illustrations I’ve found are at the next stage of assemble with the aluminium finishing plate over the parts in question.

Hi Dace,
Sorry, I think I added to the confusion by using the wrong terminology too - they are normally called the hinge pillar (in front of door) and the shut pillar (behind the door).
