I have learned from some admins on other forums that we should all be alert to forum members who may not be who or what they appear to be. Scammers have dreamed up all manner of ways to gain people's confidence, then zero in for the scam. Of course it could never happen to us, right? It's always the other guy. Yeah, right - keep believing that.
For example, if some cute girl (or cute guy) entices you to connect privately - unless you actually know who you are chatting with, be very very careful! Someone might send you a picture of themselves (allegedly), for example, and that might entice you to want to connect further. Without getting too crude - let your BIG head do your thinking! Yes this can be a real concern on this and many other forums. Just keep your guard up always, because what seems legit on the surface, may not always be so below the surface (I believe Lloyd Bridges said that).
