I have looked at the electric units Seems like they take up to 60 amps at 12 VDC plus 15 amps for the evaporator. Have you fitted these type systems ? and upgraded to a high output alternator? Thanks

Yes, they pull some amperage. Would fit a high out put alternator.
No, latest was a Vintage air system in a GT40. You can purchase the unit and build the necessary brackets, etc.
Spoke to a bloke that was fitting an electric unit to an e type recently and he said t was straight forward.

There are some units listed on eBay. They are relatively inexpensive and compact.
Would fit one of those new gen/alternator units and you will be fine.

Have used them with out any issues. Original units have a difficult time keeping up with electric fans , etc.
