How tight do these two covers have to be? If there is leaking should I replace the cork gaskets? Ed

For the side covers how tight do they need to be? When I got the car I thought they seemed loose but I read that they shouldn’t be too tight.

I'm sure somone will supply an actual spec, but in the meantime they have to be tight enough to prevent an oil leak (assuming a good gasket and sealant) but not so tight as to distort the cover.
