Regarding all the talk about nuclear hunting, I would listen to an actual expert who probably knows more than most of us... since he works with an actual drone company, is an actual intelligence analyst... might be a bit more reliable than the weird uncle sitting in his backyard reporting flying SUVs...

As one who worked in missile defense for 20 years, I’ll say that this “expert” did make some good points (however there has been and continues to be a ton of R&D in the area of SNM detection that he may or may not be aware of).

That said, the most important thing he said, and which I agree with, is when he talked about government transparency and how, when people don’t feel like they’re getting the whole story they tend to fill in the gaps with their own theories. In my not entirely uninformed opinion, there are two scenarios.
1. The government is telling us the whole truth and nothing but the truth when they say they have no idea what all these drones are doing (which, if true, is the scariest scenario), or…
2. The government does know what’s going on (I feel is likely) but isn’t talking because it either involves foreign actors or involves some government activity that, if disclosed, could jeopardise (they feel) national security. If the latter it would very possibly be SAP-level stuff.
What I find interesting is that, while we are being told essentially that there is nothing to see here, the pentagon just gave Congressional members a classified briefing on the topic. Now I know I’m not the smartest guy in the room, but having held a fairly high clearance, I am confident that they would not be holding classified briefings unless there were things they don’t want publicly known. (Which only fuels the conspiracy theories).

I have my suspicions about what may be going on, but that’s all I’ve got are suspicions, which aren’t worth any more than anyone else’s suspicions, so I’ll keep them to myself.

Hard to say. I do think there is “something” going on just from the sudden numbers of drones reported over military installations and airports by what one would hope are credible witnesses. But I agree a lot of the videos do look like normal air traffic, even having the required nav lights. And I’ve seen some of the “plasma” balls that I believe are most likely just point light sources that are badly out of focus producing “bokeh” balls.
But when our government tells us there no need for concern, then gives Congress classified briefings, that doesn’t help to assuage the publics concerns.

If there are drones flying over military bases that’s restricted airspace. If they are not taking action to protect the airspace then it leads me to believe someone knows….

I have it on good authority (I still have friends and family in the military) that is not the case, at least not for many that have been in the news lately.
