It's too late.
I have a daughter and I can fully identify. I did get lucky though in that she did eventually give me an awesome son-in-law.

North gets a bunch of that dry snow, try driving in some of this wet snow and ice in the south and people would sing a different tune.
You assume the boy can read. I think my method is more effective. I insist that the boy meet both my wife and me. After meeting my wife, daughter brought date into kitchen to meet me, where I just happened to be cleaning my shotgun.

Funny you mention cleaning a gun. In my college days had a dad once tell me if I continued to associate with his daughter, who I wasn't dating just school friends, that serious injury would occur since he didn't allow his kids to have "loser" friends. Decided not to see how serious he was.

If I look hard enough I can kinda see where some might see a man running into the woods, but if it's a man running into the woods, his left leg looks like an ostrich leg with the knee on the wrong side - it's bent the wrong way! Also, the "man" sure has a fuzzy looking head (the dog's tail) and he apparently has a dog's face embossed on the back of his jacket.
