AH Build Update ... March 20, 2024

I've been fleshing out my AH Ruddspeed Project Build Sheet. Thought I'd share it.

Magnificent build Steve! I sourced Ruddspeed parts 20-years ago when I started to upgrade # 414 into an authentic vintage racer as one would have seen at the track in the early '60's.

Doug,
Yours is the second (to mine) Ruddspeed Cloisonné badge I've every seen!! I got my cloisonné badge from Steve Norton (Cape Int'l) when I visited him in 2022. He wasn't offering them for sale on his website but had a private stash of just a few and he offered me one. I'll have to update my build sheet to note that I have now seen another one in the States! Steve Norton has been extremely helpful to me over the years. After years of looking for a Ruddspeed valve cover, Mr. Norton found me one in the UK. I must say, happy to be in your company... appreciating the history of Ruddspeed!! I've always admired your engine compartment with it's Ruddspeed manifolds and valve cover (as, of course, the rest of your beautiful race car!).

Cheers,
Steve

Another item that Steve Norton (Cape Int'l in UK) helped me with, was the Swiss made Rally Clock for the dash. These are available from BelMog in Belgium... but they do not ship to the U.S. (have no idea why). So, Steve Norton, in UK, agreed to accept it for me and then ship to me in Colorado. As I've said, Steve has helped me in many areas on this build.

You may notice my dash has been sympathetically modified to accept the Rally Clock... a second downturn was added, this was blended in from an original dash piece ... it was a partial dash hanging on a friends wall... so "no harm no foul" to an unmolested dash... other than mine;) .
