With the float bowl lids off but held right side up check if the jet levers are working freely and that the jets themselves are riding upon them when you push the levers up and down and that they are not jammed in the closed position.

Since we narrowed things down to the float chambers we haven't heard from you and perhaps that means your car now starts.

Sorry, been having internet issues. l got it to start today. FINALLY! Read tuning SU carbies for idiots like 4 or 5 times. I’m not sure if there’s oil pressure so I didn’t keep it running long. I don’t trust the gauges after sitting in a garage for 65 years. Is there any way to be sure there’s oil pressure without a working gauge? I took the valve cover off and the rockers are quite wet with oil. Again I apologize for not responding sooner.

I don't know how one verifies an OP gauge's accuracy but I'm sure there are hints online.
Not to nitpick but the fender flashes are on backwards.

That’s the day I dragged it home 2 1/2 years ago. I had nothing to do with it. I put it on skates and tucked it in the corner of garage I was in the middle of my 57 tbird experience. I’m going to leave it in surface but do the interior up leather seats etc. I have the little bit of sheet metal work done. Is there a trick to loosening and tightening the carb locking nuts not enough room. I disconnected the gauge tube at block and started it it spurted oil. So that’s good. I forced air through gauge tube and after a while it jumped. Now at high idle it reads 47+- psi so I think it’s ok.

I used compressed air and a known good pressure gauge to verify my oil pressure gauge.

They’ve probably been on that way since about 1960 when the car was probably repainted over the blue and white
