Maybach was a German company, true but as the driver is setting on the right side, this model was built to drive on the left side of the road as in England, Germans drive on the right as we and many other countries do.

Paul - just wondering out loud here ...what tells you the driver (steering wheel) is on the right hand side?

Paul, I think the bus in your first post is left hand drive. The number plate reads correctly, so the photo is not a mirror image. There is a guide on the right fender but not one on the left. This indicates that the driver can see his left front corner unassisted but not his right. Additionally there is a spot light on the left windshield pillar. I find these clues indicative of a left hand drive design.

Found a cleaner picture of the one posted, you can clearly see the steering wheel on the left hand side,

Apparently it was austrian made machine with a maybach engine, made for delivering news papers
