Ms JP & I are off to St Louis from January 21 - 27 for a conference. Her responsibilities begin before mine so, I should be free on the 22nd & 23rd. Is there anything car/ train/ streetcar/ big things that move that I might avail myself of?

Also, anyone in the area want to organize a get together or a beverage?

Finally, the conference is APCE - the Association of Partners in Christian Education. (Ms. JP's professional association) Each year the outgoing president is present with a gift to thank them for their service. I am virtually certain that it will be my task to locate and purchase said gift. :rolleyes2:

Here is the criteria if anyone lives there and might point me in a direction.

Budget: under $100
Christian Theme
Likely jewelry
Preferably Artisan made

Last year's was a necklace made by a local potter with an embossed Cross on the medallian. (Birmingham)

thanks all and looking forward to potentially connecting.

or ... instead of using the money for jewelry, how 'bout contributing to a local charity, in the name of your organization!

JP I would recommend the Nation Museum of Transport in west county. The only problem is the trains are an outdoor display and jan isn't the best time to be walking around outside.
We us to play on the trains long before it became a museum open to the public, Sometimes wed get run off and sometimes not.
There use to be a St Louis Auto Museum in mid-county. I've been away long enough I don't know if it is still there.
If you like prime rib got to Kreis' on Lindbergh road a little ways north of I-64. Pricey but delicious.

This also happens. And, also some reading:

(This happened to us this year BTW where a gift was given in our name to a charity which, while admirable and effective was not one we would have ever donated to)

J-P - just east of St. Louis is the Cahokia Mounds archeology site:
