George Burns: Gracie, you're a great example of Mind over Matter.
Gracie Allen: I am, George?
George: You have very little mind, but it doesn't seem to matter.
<audience laughter>
George: Say goodnight to the people, Gracie.
Gracie: Good night to the people.
George Burns: Gracie, you're a great example of Mind over Matter.

I saw an interview once years ago with George Burns, he showed the interviewer that when he was gone he would be placed in the crypt under Gracie so that she would have top billing for the rest of time.

When George Burns was 90, he did a monologue on Tonight with Johnny Carson.
Afterward, Johnny asked "George, you're 90 years old. How do you manage to stay so healthy?"
George: Well, when I was 60, my doctor told me to give up drinking and cigars, and stop chasing women.
Johnny: But George, you arrived tonight with two beautiful women, you were smoking a cigar, and you took a slug of whisky before going onstage. What does your doctor say about that?
George: He died years ago.
May his memory be for a blessing.
