Seems like every time I get some money saved, something happens to help
deplete it.I went and bought oil for my truck (bought three 5 quart containers,
as it was on sale) three oil filters,+ 2 5quart containers of VR1 oil for the GT,& an
oil filter for it.This all came to around $225 (with tax).
Then I ordered 4 KYB shocks for the Dakota,& a door seal that was leaking.
That was another $170.I was okay with this,as these things needed to be done,&
it would be cheaper in the long run.
Now it looks like I've got a rear main seal leaking in the GT,which means the
engine will need to be pulled (again).Last time I pulled it,to swap out the transmission,
it took me over a year ( I work cheap, but also very slow),and I'm weary of all of the -
"May as well" things that will need to be done.
How long can I safely keep driving it withe leaking seal? Can I get away using
cheaper oil for a short time? The best driving season is here, now that it's cooled off.
