There’s no wrong answer!
My wife and I are on our anniversary trip and I saw this car parked on the street in London.
I would have loved to peek under the cover but….

My first thought from the shape of the top was a Panther Lima (a couple are on this very forum BTW)

5 am - you guys sure get up early!

I can name the car no problem.

(Elliot and Mrs. Elliot - have great anniversary trip! When you fly over Switzerland - give it a smile. My second favorite country.)

You have to have a lot of courage (hubris?) to park that car on a city street, under a cloth cover.

yikes

Thanks Tom….. will do tomorrow

Caterham is what first popped to mind.

Yep. Lotus 7 or Caterham. Remember my pal's Caterham, Elliot? I know those lines for sure.

I sure do but this one looked a lot longer in the front to me than your buds car.

I disagree. If you look at a Seven/ Caterham, yes the roofline matches but the headlights don't.

Their headlights are mounted further back beween the top of the front wing and the bonnet. In the pic you can clearly see the peaks of the headlights mounted much closer together and in front of the grill. ( ah la Panther)

Goo catch. I'd say Panther also except it seems the top of the grill on the mystery car is sticking out further in front of the car. Unless that's something like a tow bar?

The headlights on the lotus seven have not allways been in the same place, depending on the model, some had motorcycle type wings,
some had long wings like the one in your picture, some had smaller head lights and lower some were larger and higher.
Definately not a panther lima or Kallista as in JP's picture. there are subtle differences between them, the kalista had closing vents on the side, while the Lima mesh and were permanantly open.

Bald old fearts aside, this is a Caterham.
