Had to go to Ybor City today

Needed to pick up a Sheriff's report and the records department is there. I took the F-2 with Ilford HP-5 loaded, had to wait in the office for an hour so only had a short time later to fuss with the camera. But Mits had her D7500 and got some nice shots of the city's free roaming roosters. Hope she puts a couple here.

My shots have no instant gratification factor, so when that roll is finished it'll get processed and scanned.

Free roaming roosters?

Yeah, there was a big discussion a while back, there were folks who wanted to let the things roam around unrestricted and others who wanted 'em gone completely. The chickens won. Now they're almost famous.

I'd guess they got out during a bad storm. That was what I was told when I was on Kauai. A couple of us kayaked to a waterfall in the (semi) wilderness. Around the pool at the bottom, were about a dozen chickens wondering what kind of food we brought for them.

The story goes they first got to Key West from Cuba, food source and cockfights. A fire in the Keys devestated the cigar industry there, so Mr. Ybor came to Tampa and re-established the cigar industry east of the town, called it Ybor City. The chickens moved with them.
