Yes to the red light problem. Pittsburgh is worse. Or as I like to say, Boston has caught up to Pittsburgh with six Super Bowl trophies. It will soon catch up with the annoying six second delay between one light turning red and the next turning green - to allow the red light runners through. What I didn't like about driving in Boston was multiple drivers driving through the intersection after the traffic light turned red. Preferred taking the 'T'.
Around here, California stops are the general rule. Turn signals are apparently optional equipment. Keep left, except to pass is the norm on the interstates. Passing on a solid line isn't unusual.
It has gotten so bad that I won't go unless I see that cross traffic has stopped or there is none coming. I've seen too many red light runners come through 10 - 30 seconds after the lights have changed. We have delayed lights here,& I can't count the number of times
a car runs a Red light when it's turned Green for me.

TrippoDitto.
They'll finally allow me to apply!
