Didn't get any pictures, but it was just about perfect .
In the high 70's,& everything is really nice & Green.
After working 60+ hours this last week I decided to
treat myself to breakfast & took the GT out on some nice
back roads.

Doug,
I have driven a good bit this spring, but I followed your lead and took a pleasure drive yesterday. Time to get out the bimini top and wind deflectors and take a real Road Trip?

Doug - what did you have for breakfast that day?

I hope there was a pile of grits included!

That's a handsome car!

Our shrimp and grits will change your mind... 😉

Drove to the local community college on Monday for an awards banquet for the Automotive students. Our club had about 15 cars (British) there and showed them off and also paid for the awards and banquet. Very nice auto shop with LOTS of tools. Even a $400, 000 transmission tester. The awards for the kids were tools. Everything from set of screwdrivers to 3 rolling carts filled with tools. Excellent program.
And a great drive, about 30 minutes each way.

I'll see your grits and raise you a plate of scrapple! 🤪

I tried scrapple once. Ummm... nah, Momma taught me if I don't have anything nice to say...

Looks good, Tom!

And Mom also made us liver and gravy with grits. Haven't had that in quite a while.

Well, this thread sure went sideways!

PS: If you really want to get some looks, go to a restaurant in Huntsville, AL and order a "bowl of grits" with Maple syrup on the side.
"What's the syrup for?" They'll ask.
"My grits," I reply.
"You put syrup ON YOUR GRITS!!??"
"You're not from around here, are you , son?"
Which is exactly my point. Grits are like the stone in the story 'stone soup'

No one likes grits, everyone likes what goes with grits. I have had people say:

try them with cheese.... No. I'll just have the cheese

try them with bacon that will change your mind... Nope, bacon is good on its own

even just butter - well just butter has its own good taste.

now, hush puppies..... mmmmm

Sorry, J-P - I love grits! Any way you fix 'em. Little butter and salt - that's all they really need.

And leftover grits from the fridge. Cut into cubes and scramble 'em with eggs.

OK, now I'm hungry!
